Pourquoi le Petit Trianon ?
Cet ancien cabinet de Louis XV, était doté d’un escalier privé qui permettait au roi de gagner l’entresol situé juste au-dessus. Lorsque Marie-Antoinette s’installe au Petit Trianon en 1777, elle fait supprimer l’escalier et fait de cette petite pièce d’angle un lieu d’intimité et de retraite.
